Rotary screw compressors have a reputation for being banished to a back room, and it is usually deserved — a bare screw machine running continuously is not something you want fifteen feet from a service advisor's desk. The SRP 4025E is built inside a sound-attenuated cabinet that brings it down to 69 dB(A), which changes where you are allowed to put it. For a shop without a dedicated compressor room, that is not a comfort feature; it is the difference between installing the machine and not being able to.

Inside the cabinet is an oil-injected rotary air end producing 92 CFM at 125 PSI at a 100% duty cycle, driven by a 25 HP TEFC IP55 motor and mounted on its own 120-gallon horizontal ASME receiver.

This listing, the product title, the model designation and the manufacturer's own overview all describe a 460V three-phase machine. One specification field on our record instead reads 208-230V. Those are different machines electrically — a motor is wound for one supply, and the wrong one cannot be corrected in the field.

The weight of the evidence points to 460V, but we are not going to let you wire a building on the strength of our reasoning. What the sound cabinet is doing

An attenuated enclosure is not a box with foam glued inside it. It has to absorb noise while still moving enough cooling air through the machine to keep the air end and motor within temperature, which is a real engineering compromise — seal it too well and the compressor overheats, open it up and the noise comes straight back out. The rated 69 dB(A) is what that compromise achieves here.

The practical result is a machine that can live in the working area. It also means the enclosure is doing a cooling job, so it must be kept clear: do not stack stock against it, do not build it into a tight alcove, and keep its intakes clean. Continuous duty, and what you are actually paying for

A piston compressor advertised at a similar output is rated to run for a fraction of any given hour. Run it harder and it overheats and wears out. Oil-injected, belt driven, cast iron

The rotors are oil-injected: the oil seals the clearances between them, carries away compression heat and lubricates the bearings, all at once. That is why oil level and oil condition are the maintenance items that actually determine the life of the machine, and why an oil sight glass is fitted where somebody can see it without tools. The drive is by belt, and the pump is solid cast iron. An aftercooler is fitted as standard to drop the discharge temperature and knock the bulk of the moisture out at the machine rather than in your pipework.

The receiver is ASME certified — a pressure-vessel certification covering the design, materials, fabrication and inspection of the tank itself. That is the certification that matters most to an inspector, because the vessel is the part that stores energy, and it is a genuine third-party code requirement rather than a manufacturer's own claim.

It does not, however, say anything about the machine as an electrical assembly, and our data claims no safety listing of that kind for the package.
